9210: Attorney

The Board may, at its discretion, appoint an attorney to perform desired legal services. The attorney shall serve at the Board’s pleasure and be compensated at a mutually agreeable rate.

The Superintendent or the Superintendent’s designee(s) are authorized to engage the District’s attorney for legal services as deemed necessary or advisable. The Superintendent or the Superintendent’s designee(s) are authorized to engage other attorneys to represent the District as advisable when a potential conflict of interest is
present or when the Superintendent deems it appropriate under the circumstances.
